The mission of the Central Pennsylvania Film Commission (CPFC) is   

to draw film and television production to the Central Pennsylvania region.

The Central Pennsylvania Film Commission is an AFCI-accredited film office that works to oversee

local and industry partnerships and the branding of Central PA as a hub for in-demand creative talent and resources for the film industry, creating ongoing educational workshops through

community partnerships, as well as annual events to support its impact on the local community.

Incentives

Pennsylvania offers a 25% tax credit to productions that spend at least 60% of their total budget in the Commonwealth. An additional 5% tax credit, for a total credit of 30%, is available for productions that meet the minimum state filming requirements at a Qualified Production Facility.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE TAX CREDIT ARE REVIEWED DURING THE FOLLOWING FOUR PERIODS

  • July 1 through September 30

  • October 1 through December 31

  • January 1 through March 31

  • April 1 through June 30
